A Showcase of Machinery and Meaningful Connections
Spida Machinery was proud to return as an exhibitor this year at the annual Building Component Manufacturers Conference (BCMC) where the latest innovations were on display. With years of involvement in this event, Spida values the opportunity to not only showcase our machinery, but also to exchange ideas, have meaningful conversations, and celebrate the innovation of an industry that continues to shape the future of construction.
As we reflect on BCMC 2025, we wanted to share with you a few standout moments from the show and the most common questions visitors asked at our booth - because if they were on the minds of attendees, they’re probably on yours too!

Building Connections, Not Just Machines.
For us, BCMC is more than just showing equipment – it’s about the people. The conversations with customers, industry friends, and colleagues are what truly make the event special. While the latest innovations and technology always draw attention, the team especially values the chance to come together, share ideas, learn from one another, and collaborate on solutions that help the industry grow. BCMC 2025 in Omaha was no different.
The energy of the event was palpable, and connections were everywhere. Whether it was a long-time customer or someone new to Spida, the team loved hearing their stories. Listening to the challenges customers face and brainstorming ways to support them better, is what drives the company. These conversations strengthen the partnerships that lie at the heart of everything Spida does.
And of course, a big part of what makes the event so special is having the Spida team all come together under one roof! The planning and preparation that goes into making BCMC happen each year is no small task, and we’re incredibly grateful for the team that brings it all together. From setting up the booth to engaging with attendees, the teamwork and camaraderie that goes into making the event a success is an awesome experience to be part of.
On Display at BCMC 2025
There’s no substitute for seeing our equipment live. This year, our booth featured several of our top machines, including the Spida Automated Apollo Saw, Rolsplicer, and Sprint S600.
The real showstopper was the raked wall line - we ran live demos of this three times a day. The Raked Wall Extruder, which is the star of the wall line, impressed visitors by handling both raked and standard walls effortlessly. Seeing it in action wasn’t just about watching a machine – it gave fabricators a real feel for how the line can fit into their production, improve efficiency, and maintain precision.
The positive feedback we received made it clear - visitors appreciated the chance to experience our equipment in action and to engage with our knowledgeable team to answer their specific questions.

FAQs from the Show Floor
With the raked wall line center stage at our booth this year, it’s no surprise there were plenty of questions around it. Alongside queries on our other machinery, we had the chance to dive into meaningful conversations with visitors eager to learn more.
To make sure you don’t miss any of these insights, we’ve compiled the most common questions we were asked – hopefully they will be just as useful to you as they were to the BCMC attendees.
Q: Can the wall panel line grow with my business?
Absolutely. Our machinery is purpose-built for the industry it operates in, which is why it’s designed with a modular setup that allows for maximum flexibility. Every business is at a different stage of its production and growth, so you can start with one or two machines and easily expand the line as your needs or budget allow.
Fabricators who have already started their journey, often ask us “Are Spida wall frame machines compatible with existing production lines?” – our answer is Yes. Our machines will work seamlessly with your current material handling systems, tables, and equipment. When we discuss with you your needs, we take a close look at your current operation and future goals to ensure the line is fully scalable and optimized for long-term efficiency.
Q: What’s the biggest advantage of automation?
Labor savings are just the beginning. Automation through intelligent software and machinery, reduces the need for manual operators, allowing your team to focus on higher-value tasks. And of course, you will reap other benefits such as improved production efficiency (produce more wall frames while maintaining consistent quality), reduced waste, fewer errors, less manual handling, and reduced overall fatigue of your staff.
Q: How much training is needed?
This is where our design philosophy of simplicity really pays off. Spida machines are easy to learn and operate, even for new team members. Operators receive onsite, machine-specific training tailored to your setup. We use your own job files during training, so everything the operators learn, is directly applicable. This hands-on approach ensures safe, efficient operation from day one, and gives your team confidence when running the line.
With over 70 products at Spida Machinery, we couldn’t showcase them all at our booth, but it sparked great conversations about our wider range. Some questions on our other machinery included:
Q: What other systems does Spida offer?
In addition to the wall frame line, we offer the solutions for the following:
- Truss Cutting – the power duo of the PieceGiver and PieceMaker delivers the ultimate truss cutting solution. Find out more about truss cutting solutions.
- Roof Trusses – our Roller Plant solution delivers high output roof truss production. Find out more about roof truss solutions
- Floor Trusses – designed to fit your needs, our Floor Truss System offers flexibility and is a central part of our floor truss solutions. Find out more about floor truss solutions
Most importantly, all of our solutions are tailored to your manufacturing needs, your factory size, and your budget!
Q: Can we see Spida machines in action?
Yes, absolutely! We understand that choosing machinery is a significant investment. That’s why your Spida Account Manager can arrange live demonstrations at our facility or onsite where feasible. Seeing the line operate in real conditions allows you to evaluate workflow, output, and integration – giving you peace of mind before making a decision.
Q: Does Spida have local support?
We sure do! We pride ourselves on our local ‘boots on the ground’ service and support team as this allows us to respond to your needs as quickly as possible. While machinery is what we provide, our approach is focused on people and relationships - with our service and support team being integral to our partnership with our customers.
Q: Are spare parts available in North America?
Yes they are. We maintain a comprehensive inventory of parts across the country to ensure fast, reliable replacement to minimize downtime.
These are just a few of the questions that were asked at our booth this year. If you have any others, please don’t hesitate to reach out – our team are happy to answer them for you.
Until Next Year, BCMC...
And just like that, BCMC 2025 is now behind us! As always, it was a pleasure reconnecting with long-time friends, sharing insights, and forming new partnerships. We’re already looking forward to building on these connections and seeing where the next year takes us.
Every year, BCMC leaves us inspired – by the collaboration, the fresh ideas, and the conversations that spark new ways of thinking. This year was no exception. Moments like these are what make our industry so exciting to be part of.
A huge thank you to the BCMC organizers and everyone who helped make the event such a success. Your dedication created an experience we won’t forget. We’re already counting down to BCMC 2026 – can’t wait to see what’s next!
